Apraxia of Speech.
Not being understood by others can lead to extreme frustration. After a thorough speech evaluation, we can identify the areas where patterns of errors are evident and work on intelligibility. A therapy plan is tailored to each individual in order to help ease their communication.

Receptive Language Delay
Children who have difficulty understanding or using language can struggle academically and socially. A comprehensive language evaluation can identify the root cause and give us information in order to develop a treatment plan to help request wants and needs, develop vocabulary, and formulate phrases.
Feeding & TOTs
-
Tethered Oral Issues such as tongue tie, lip tie, and buccal ties
Does your child have difficulty with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or eating solids? We can help by looking at the whole picture and figuring out where the child is struggling. We provide feeding therapy for picky eaters and problem feeders. We are also trained in evaluating and making appropriate referrals for TOTs (tongue, lip and buccal ties).
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, we are not in network with any insurance plans. We are private pay and are considered an out of network provider. TheraPEDS Corner can provide a superbill. A superbill is a form given to you by the provider that the client can submit to insurance for reimbursement.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash, checks and credit cards are all accepted forms of payment. In addition, most speech and language therapy services can be paid for using your flexible spending account (FSA) or healthcare savings account (HSA). Payment is due at the time of service and a credit card will be required to be kept on file regardless of payment method.
Where will services be provided?
We come to you! We are able to travel to our clients and are able to see them for therapy in their preferred environment, their home! We can also visit day cares and preschools with proper consent forms.
Do you require an evaluation?
Yes, an evaluation is required before beginning services. This allows us to look at the whole child and determine specific areas that need to be targeted for therapy. We will accept outside evaluations that have taken place within the last 6 months.
What is the process for receiving speech therapy?
The first step is to schedule a free consultation. Once we receive information about your concerns we will schedule an appointment for an evaluation. Evaluations typically take 2 hours to complete and also include a parent interview. In the days after the evaluation, the SLP will gather all the data and write up an evaluation report. Then you will schedule another appointment to review the evaluation report and to go over a treatment plan with goals created by the SLP.
How long are the therapy sessions?
Sessions vary based on treatment plans and goals. Typically, sessions are about 30-40 minutes, depending on the client’s needs. The last few minutes of the session focus on how to increase carryover, parent education, and a review of progress on goals.
